Hawkclaw detected the hint of sadness in Winterpaws voice "Don't worry Winterpaw i will be with you always, and when i die i will watch you from star clan!"

Winterpaw shrugged, "Well I guess your right" he mewed, though he still regreated the day when his beloved mentor would join the ranks of the starry warrior ancestors. Than Winterpaw stood up, "you should probably get some rest to" he meowed to Hawkclaw. "I'll let you sleep than" he finished, before padding quitley out of the den. When he was standing outside he sighed, "Hawkclaw is going to get better, she has to!" He murmured to himself.

Hawkclaw dreaded the day she would have to leave Winterpaw she loved mentoring him, but she decied to try and rest

Winterpaw waited patiently out side the medicine cat den, he pawed at the fluffy white snow that was beginning to come down out of the sky. "Oh, I hope it dosn't snow anymore than this!" He sighed, knowing that the cold weather wouldn't help the cats with green cough get any better. Soon it would cover all the herbs in the forest and than he wouldn't be able to gather anymore. Thankfully he was well stocked up on Catnip, but the other herb supplies weren't doing all that well. "I really need to go find some more herbs before there buried in snow, but I have to stay here and take care of Hawkclaw and Spiritkit!" He thought out loud.

Winterpaw jumped at the sound of Jayhearts meow, "Oh, its you Jayheart!" He breathed, He had been so deep in thought that she had surprised him. Shakeing his head he turned back to Jayheart, "yes that would be great!' He meowed, "and it wouldn't hurt if he took someone else with him, we need all the herbs we can get!"

Flamepaw was sitting by the apprentice den munching on a small sparrow, when Cottenpaw came running over. Flamepaw yawned and looked at Cottenpaw, "Hi Cottenpaw!" He meowed before digging back into his fresh kill.

Flamepaw got up and streched, "okay, what herbs are we looking for?" He questioned while licking a paw.

As Cottenpaw approched, Winterpaw guessed what she was looking for. "Let me guess, you want to know what herbs you're looking for?" Winterpaw mewed with amusment.
