How the clans began.

First of all, let's get the names straight. The twolegs call the forest that the clans live in, Sunshine Leaves. The place where the Shadowstone is located is called-

By twolegs: Moonlit Path.

By Warriors: Lightning Place.

How the clans came to the forest?

The forest was never thought of as a place to live, by any cat. The strange noises of prey and animals in the forest made them think it was unsafe, and would cause certain death if they entered. Then five cats, Mist, Lightning, Breezy (kittypet), Pine, and Poppy, gathered the bravery to enter the forest and explore it. After the first few days, they realized that the forest was not such a bad place after all, and they even thought it was nice. Pine and Breezy were sisters, and none of the other cats were related at all. The five travelers traveled back to the cats waiting at the edge of the forest for their return, and told them it was a nice place.
The cats entered, and immediately they went off to living in groups. Five groups, each led by the cats who had first ventured into the forest. Soon, all the cats began making their own territories, and having families, quickly. That became a problem, because the cats realized five groups can not fit in one forest. The groups began attacking each other, trying to drive one clan out of the forest.
Only when Breezy was killed did the cats stop fighting. Stricken by grief, Poppy took over Breezy's cats, and called the BreezeClan, out of respect for her sister. The other cats realized she was making a 'clan', and they wanted to make their own. Lightning called his clan LightClan, Mist, MistClan, and Pine, PineClan. After that all four clans made their own borders and territories, and vowed never to fight each other so badly again. One day, the cats that died in those battles came to visit all four clans together. They told them the secrets of the clans.
The ancestors of all the clan cats would be called StarClan. The Shadowstone near Lightning Place would be were the leaders would get their nine lives and names. StarClan knew the clans would not always remain in peace, and they would need one cat from each clan to act as a medicine cat. They told the cat who was destined to become a medicine cat, to meet them at the Shadowstone every quarter moon
LightClan: Owlheart
MistClan: Grayfur
BreezeClan: Glimmertail
PineClan: Cloudfoot

From then on all the clans lived on, defending and hunting, fighting and traveling. The clans had lived in the forest and would keep living their forever.
