Sunstar padded towards the Apprentice's Den. It was time to take Ravenpaw training. She called to her apprentice at the entrance of the den. "Ravenpaw, it's time to go! Training!" She meowed, her voice quiet as to not wake too many of the other cats in the clearing. She shuffled her paws patiently, curling her long tail around her paws and gazing up at the sky while she waited for her apprentice to get up...

Ravenpaw yawned awake as her mentor and leader's voice reached her.
"Coming," she called softly, sitting up sleepily and stretching. She shook herself and bounded out of the den.
"What are we doing today?" she asked eagerly, fully awake at the thought of being out in the woods. She may have a temper like a hornet and a little hardheaded, but no one could say that Ravenpaw wasn't eager, "Battle training?" she asked hopefully.

Sunstar purred with amusement at her apprentice's eagerness to get training, although she understood it from her old days as an apprentice. She had always loved her training. "Actually, yes," she replied, equally surprised and even more amused by Ravenpaw's correct guess. Well, it was more like a hopefully statement just in the form of a question, but she would take it as a guess. "Battle training and maybe some hunting if you still have the energy," she added.

"Yes!" Ravenpaw mewed triumphantly, before remembering that most of the clan still slept, "Oops," she whispered, though her small body still wiggled with joy. She trotted to the camp exit, a bounce in her step and then waited for Sunstar to take the lead.

Sunstar purred, her tail flicking with amusement as she followed Ravenpaw out at first, and then took the lead. She was heading towards the Battle Hollow, a great place for training because the ground was so soft. "You'll be learning how to fight off an attack from multiple warriors, so be ready," she added. When she trained her apprentices she started with the hardest skill, and then slowly started to move down to easier ones.

Ravenpaw nodded seriously, beginning to somber down. She was not foolish, she knew that this training would be difficult. But there were few things that Ravenpaw loved more then a challenged.
"Will another warrior be joining us then?" she asked.

Sunstar thought for a moment. "Either Sparrowflight will be coming or Graymist," she replied. She has asked both of them to come as long as they were free to do so. Hopefully one of them would come. "But first you'll just get warmed up by fighting with me until one of them comes, and then we'll get into the real training session," she meowed, padding energetically along the path to the training grounds...

Ravenpaw smiled happily as the two warriors names were spoken. She nodded happily when Sunstar mentioned warming up.
As they arrived at the training rounds, Ravenpaw sprinted ahead joyfully. She sped forward, pushing her speed to the limit. There was little she loved more then a fast sprint, the feeling of the earth beneath her paws and the wind whistling through her ears. She reached the edge of the training grounds and whirled, facing Sunstar and waiting for instruction.

"Okay," Sunstar nodded showing that she was ready. "First, you'll be the attacker. Attack me," she ordered, flicking her tail enthusiastically. She tensed, preparing for Ravenpaw to attack. She made sure not to show any kind of knowing so that her apprentice would not know if she guessed how she was going to attack...
