"I can't see!" She wailed. "My eyes hurt so much!" She could hardly think to herself without them hurting. She was afraid that they would remain closed forever. Leafpaw twisted her head around to listen for Needleclaw's voice. She couldn't hear anything.
"Needleclaw?" She mewed.

Leafpaw found it hard to believe Hawkclaw's words. She laid her head back to the ground, but she could not rest like she had told. Instead, she just breathed slowly and shallowly, trying to keep the pain as low as possible.

She flicked her ears. Poppy Seeds. She had heard many warriors using them when they couldn't sleep or rest, or they were in a lot of pain. She would have said yes, but she needed to make sure her mentor was okay before doing anything else.
"No," she mewed. "I'm okay for now."

needleclaw awoke lifted his head and looked at his leg, when he saw it he looked shocked and his eyes widened.

"Yes," she replied. "I want to hear from her that she is okay. She was training me out their when she got caught," she meowed. She should have stayed with her mentor instead of ran off. They could have gotten back to camp before the storm started if she hadn't raced away from him.

Eagleflight blinked open her eyes, at first she thought she was in Starclan, but than she reliezed that she was in the medicine cat den. "Leafpaw, Needleclaw?" She mewed, though it came out barley more than a whisper. Eagleflight groaned, her whole body of sore and her throat hurt. Than she felt something by her side, the only thing that was keeping her warm. She looked over her shoulder to see Winterpaw sleeping steadly beside her. For a moment Eagleflight felt like she would drift of to sleep, but than she saw Leafpaw and Needleclaw. Eagleflight meowed with relief when she saw the two cats who had saved her. She tried to get up, but was to weak and she calapsed back down in her nest. Eagleflight moaned in pain, she turned her head to get a better look at Leafpaw, "Leafpaw?" She whimperd, not sure if she was even alive.

"Eaglegflight!" Leafpaw cried out. "Are you alright?" Her voice throbbed as she tried to speak so loudly, but she didn't care.

Eagleflight sighed with relief when she herd Leafpaws voice, "Oh Leafpaw I thought you were..." she was inturupted by her own coughing. Eagleflight groaned in pain as her throat throbbed.

Leafpaw replied slowly, "It's alright. I thought you were dead at first when I found you. You were half-buried in snow, and freezing. You looked so hurt!" She whispered, her voice almost a wail.
