Description-Cougarpaw towers over the other apprentices. With lankier limbs then most cats, he has a long stride and a quick gait. His body is streamlined for running, not just sprints, but long distances and rocky terrain. Powerful lungs allow him to breathe deeply, while big paws help when walking on drifts.
Cougarpaw may not be the softest cat, but he is the fastest.
His eyes are a bluish teal, like the the ocean. Aqua and clear, his eyes hold hidden depths. Rounder then an oriental, his eyes display happiness and disgust. He has better vision then most cats.
He has rough fur, almost like a Mountain Lion, but has a layer of downy fur near his skin to protect him from the brutal cold of Leaf-bare. Though his pelt is rough, it is smooth and short. He matches the tall grasses of the prairie, golden and supple. His pelt is a dirty gold, overlaid with chocolate tips. Darker on his back and forehead, this gives him a dusty appearance. He has a pure white chin and muzzle, bright as the first snowfall. The tip of his tail has three, small jet-black rings encircling it. He has a long tail, about half his size, the same exact color of the rest of his pelt. Wether aiding his balance or whipping it about, he relies on his tail for many things. He has honey-gold paws, lighter then the rest of his body, with a distinctive silvering on his face, paws, and tail.
Personality-Cougarpaw is weird, at least, in his opinion. He sometimes says random things, just for the heck of it, not to mention the confusion and shock on the listener's features. He is not afraid to share his unique views on politics and the world., though he communicates little with non-friends. He exercises his sarcasm regularly, earning his stern looks from his mentor and leader. Mainly, his is quiet and keeps his remarks to himself. He is self-confident, and enjoys discussing a wide variety of subjects. From hunting to the newest gossip, he keeps his ears open and eyes peeled. Sooner or later, he will discover a juicy tidbit of information. He is the number one source, for the latest news in the clan. However, he does not portion out everything, he always holds back a little knowledge from non-friends. Cougarpaw has an interesting sense of humor. Only his friends seem to understand his comedy. He can be morbid, telling of crazy stories and evil cats of the past. most apprentices and kits swear he had first-hand knowledge of Scourge, Hawkfrost, and the infamous Tigerstar. Where he gets his information, he's not telling, but he usually takes a doze before a story. Creepy and macabre, is the only way to describe his horror stories. When telling stories, he tends to skip over the setting, heading straight into the action. Cougarpaw tends to speak his mind. Whenever an argument springs to his mind, he can't resist the temptation to voice it. He could be a master debater if he can control his tongue. Beware the wrath of his words. He knows twelve ways to insult a cat before sun-high, without resorting to crude swearing. As a debater, he enjoys talking about politics, present and past. He can quote insane felines and wise ones, some he admires, the latter, he ridicules. Cougarpaw can be incredibly brave, throwing himself at the enemy, laughing in the face of danger, and speaking up in a time of need. But, he has one great flaw, one weakness he has never shared with any cat, spirit of living he has, well, you'll find out for yourself if he's in the prophecy!
History-Cougarpaw is an enigma. No one really knows much about him. He just turned up out of the blue one stormy night., barely three moons old. It was a miracle that he survived. He started up residence in the clan and was adopted by a kind queen called Earthpelt. Tragically, right before he was ascending to apprenticeship, greencough infected the camp, spreading like wildfire, causing heathy cats to beacome sickly and weak. Earthpelt was one of the fallen. He believes she did not suffer, and can almost glimpse her starry calico pelt among the swath of stars called Silverpelt.
