Ashstar slowly slipped onto the highledge. Once again there was going to be an apprentice ceremony. There were so many kits these days. She stood and yowled "Let all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather here". This was an apprentice ceremony for Winterpaw ,Flamepaw, and Leafpaw. This was going to be very important seeing as how Winterpaw would be the new medicine cat apprentice. It would be important for Flamepaw as well. He was going to be mentored by Brackenfur. Than there was Leafpaw. She would be mentored by Eagleflight. At sunhigh she had let them know that their apprentice ceremonies would be taking place and she hoped they would forgive her for taking so long.

Flamepaw trotted out into the clearing, his fur was neatley groomed and he held his tail high. He had been given his apprentice name but he still needed to get a mentor, he cast on eye on Brackenfur who was also neatly groomed, this would be the cat that trained him and lead him on his way to becomeing the best warrior Mistclan had ever seen!
Winterpaw padded to the highlege beside Hawkclaw, he felt his paws tingle with excitment, today was the day he became an apprentice medicine cat! Even when he was a little kit, Winterpaw knew the way of the warrior was not for him. Unlike his brother Flamepaw, Winterpaw wanted to heal and help other cats, he wanted to walk with starclan and become an improtant role in Mistclan!

'Leafkit,' padded from the nursery. She was finally going to become an apprentice. She wondered who her mentor was going to be. The whole clan knew, but they didn't tell her because they wanted it to be a surprise. Leafkit settled down by the Highledge, waiting to become Leafpaw.
(i think we are kits until we become apprentices. Oh, well. Doesn't matter.)

Eagleflight looked around, her tail twiched nervously, this would be her first apprentice! "Oh I hope I can do everything right" She thought loud. Than she went and sat down next to Brackenfur, this would be his first apprentice too! Takeing a deep breath, Eagleflight waited for Ashstar to continue...

Ashstar looked at the apprentices and mentors and smiled gently. Eagleflight was a new warrior but she seemed capable. She closed her eyes then yowled out"I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Mistclan, but must first become an apprentice. Leafkit , from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Leafpaw. Eagleflight will mentor you." She opened her eyes and looked down, waiting.

Leafpaw stepped forward to greet her new mentor, now ready to handle the responsibilities that no kit shall carry.

Eagleflight stepped forward to touch nose's with Leafpaw, she rembered her apprentice ceremony like it was only yesterday, and now she was getting and apprentice of her very own!

Once Leafpaw touched noses with her mentor, she looked up at Eagleflight with undisguised pride. She felt proud to have such a noble warrior as her mentor.
Now she stepped back with the other Mistclan apprentices.

Brackenpelt wait for his turn, was going to mentor his first apperentice. His eyes glisted with exitment, "Do you think I could train an apperentice" he questioned Eagleflight

"Of coarse she can!" Leafpaw mewed, speaking for her mentor. "She was ready to mentor me!" Leafpaw didn't let her mentor reply to Brackenfur's question before she answered.
"If she's ready to mentor me, any cat is ready!"

Ashstar couldn't resist letting out a small sound that sounded like a laugh as she heard Brackenpelt ask if he was ready. She lifted her head once more and yowled "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. He would like to become a warrior of Mistclan, but must first become an apprentice. Brackenpelt swiflty walked up to Flamepaw and touched noses with him. Brackenpelt sat down with his apperentice and looked back up to Ashstar, his eyes gleaming with pride.
