Ashstar jumped up onto the high ledge. It was a smooth rock worn down from the many cats who held ceremonies and clan meetings here. Today would be an apprentice ceremony."Let all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather here" Ashstar yowled out into the sky. She let her head fall down slowly before waiting for most of her clan to come.Cottenkit and Jayheart especially.

Jayheart had groomed herself so her pelt gleamed in the sun light. As she heared Ashstar's yowl sound form the high rock she bounded acrossed to meet her new apperentice she was so ecited! She couldn't wait to have her first apperentice!

As Hawkclaw was gathering her herbs she Ashstar yowl from the highrock, she left aside her work to see the ceremony

Eagleflight had just walked into camp when she heard Ashstar's yowl. Quickly she dropped her prey on the fresh kill pile and sat down beside Hawkclaw, she gave her chest a few good licks before turning her attention fully to Ashstar.

Nightpool padded out of the nursery and sat down under the high ledge with the other Mistclan cats. "Ahh finally, it was about time Cottenkit got to be an apprentice" Nightpool thougt as she waited for Ashstar to continue.

before nightpool could answer Turtlestripe strode up with Sandstone bounding at her heels. "yeah this is so exciting, Cottenkit is becoming an apprentice. no more of having him try to sneak out of the camp, agian...or..." but her mew was cut off by Ashstar repeating the ceremony words.

Looking over everyone, Ashstar nodded her head, but let out a small smile as she saw the new apprentice and mentor. Lifting her head she yowled "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of Mistclan, but must first become an apprentice. Cottenkit , from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Cottenaw. Jayheart will mentor you." She looked down and waited for them to touch noses.

Jayheart padded over to Cottenpaw and touched noses with him whispering "I'll try to train you to the best of my knowlege"

"thank you Ashstar, and you too jawheart. i will try my best to learn all possible and listen to jayheart and other warriors." Cottenpaw replied touching noses with first Ashstar then her mentor. then quivering with happiness she turned around to face her clanmates.
