Hawkclaw steped back into the den beckoning Winterpaw to her out of earshot of Smokekit she mewed "Winterpaw i love you being my apprentice, but one day when i die you will have your own apprentice and i think Smokekit would be a good choice"

Winterpaw hated when Hawkclaw talked about herself joining starclan, but he knew she was right. "Yes, I think Smokepaw would be the perfect choice!" He purred, the little kit seemed to have a natural instenct for herbs.
